“Babies in Christ.” It’s a term I’ve heard way too often as a new believer many years ago. It’s a saying I had mixed feelings about – on one hand it made me feel like people thought I was helpless and didn’t know how to be a Christian, and on the other hand there was a tiny bit of truth to it as I really was struggling at times to adapt to this new life, though it promised to be one of hope and glory.
When you think about it, babies need the supervision, the support and the encouragement (think about how a mommy genuinely claps and cheers on baby for their first meal, first steps and first words). So too, do new believers need a word of encouragement from other Christians and from God Himself!
What better place to seek out support and encouragement than from the word of God, our Bible! Here are some encouraging bible verses for new believers!
